Asha manages several projects on innovative web and mobile services for Orange Labs and advises corporate strategy on emerging topics. Until recently, she led France Telecom’s primary research program on web2.0. Previously, she co-founded a startup focused on secure media distribution. She has also held several research and engineering management positions at Hughes Research Labs (now HRL), Strategic Data Corp (acquired by Fox Interactive) and Aerocast covering a spectrum of areas including multimedia search, DRM and ad optimization Asha holds a B.Tech from IIT Bombay and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from USC, where she was a Howard Hughes Doctoral Fellow. |
